Carl Fredriksson (AKA Figge Fredriksson) 1887-1951. Swedish
Carl Einar Fredriksson, known as Figge Fredriksson , studied at Althins Painting School in Stockholm from 1914-1915 and then with Carl Wilhelmson in 1916. He continued his artistic education in Copenhagen from 1917-1918 and then in Paris from 1920-1921, exhibiting at The Salon d'Automne in 1920. During the period 1921-1931 he conducted his own painting school in Stockholm and exhibited several times with The Swedish Art Society.
Although he was a noted painter of city scenes he is best known for his intimate interior scenes often depicting a musical theme.
Today Carl Fredriksson's work is represented at the Värmland Museum with the oil paintings Model Study and Mother and Child as well as at the National Museum in Stockholm.
