Marguerite Brun (Flourished 1890-1920) French
Born in Lyon, Marguerite Brun was a specialist still life painter. Although relatively little is known of her formal artistic education she exhibited in Lyon from 1892 and in Paris from 1896, she also won a medal at the International Exhibition in Lyon in 1909. Her finest works have an ethereal feel and her control of subtle light is nothing less than outstanding.
